What to Expect
Dress is casual, jeans and shorts are typical, but skirts and ties have also been worn by a few on rare occasions. Children are very welcome. Nursery facilities are available for babies and very young children. We use no printed bulletins, but we usually follow a loose order of worship that goes like this:
Our services begin with a brief greeting and prayer, then continue with a time of worship. Led by light accompaniment, we sing a mixture of Scripture songs, choruses, and hymns, intermixed at times with prayers and responsive readings. The words to the worship choruses, hymns, and responsive readings are projected on a screen making the use of hymnals or song sheets unnecessary. Following worship, elementary-age students are dismissed to a children’s activity held in another part of the facility.

Sermons typically are about a half hour long, occasionally longer depending on the season or needs at hand (sermons are recorded and archived and can be accessed through a link on this web site). Once a month, usually on the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate the rite of communion together. While we don’t take up formal offerings, a basket is available in the back of the meeting area for those desiring to give.
Not including times of fellowship before and after church, our service lasts roughly an hour.
A prayer meeting is held every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at our church facility on Summerland Beach Road. We invite you to come to offer and receive prayer for all needs. No one is required to pray out loud! We spend some time sharing prayer needs, then we lift those needs to the Lord in prayer. The meeting usually lasts no more than an hour.

Welcome to Millersport Covenant
Meet Pastor Steven
Pastor Steve came to Christ in July of 1968 at a church camp in the Hocking Hills of Southern, Ohio. He met and married his wife, Janet Marie, in 1983 in Lexington, Kentucky. Besides three in heaven, their daughter Nicole was born in 1987—the same year we planted Covenant Church in Steve’s hometown of Millersport. Steve loves the Flock he has been privileged to shepherd and roots for all their respective walks with Christ. He values deeply the ministry of God’s Word and prays earnestly for each Church Family member to flourish for the honor and glory of our Lord. He also enjoys playing guitar on his front porch, writing an occasional song, reading good books, sitting on a beautiful beach as the waves roll in, and frequenting thrift stores where good treasures can always be found.
