Giving Christ

Giving Christ

When darkness covered the earth, the Light of Life was born. His name is Jesus. So when we proclaim the Good News what are we offering in the person of Jesus? The Scriptures tell us plainly. Colossians 1:15-17 says: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." (ESV) John 1:1-5, tells us more: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (ESV) So the Jesus we offer to the world is not just a little Baby born in Bethlehem, He's the Maker of all things seen and unseen, One with no beginning or end, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the One in Whom every knee shall bow and every tongue confess is Lord. Glory to God in the highest!
