Unto Us A Son is Given

Unto Us A Son is Given

Isaiah 9:6-7 foretells of Jesus over 700 years in advance: "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (NKJV) In case you're wondering how that would come to pass, Jesus put it this way in John 3:16-17: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him." (ESV) If you, therefore, conclude, 'Jesus really must have been the Savior of the world,' then you're most certainly on the right track. But if you come to the deep-heart realization that Jesus is indeed your own personal Savior & Lord, Him who was sent to rescue you from sin and death while granting you life forevermore, then that's way more better...
