“Who Is This King of Glory”

“Who Is This King of Glory”

700 years before Jesus’ birth, Isaiah describes the royal names of our Messiah, the attributes and qualities of the King of kings and Lord of Lords. David asks rhetorically, “Who is He, this King of glory?” Paul declares who God the Son was in His preeminent glory before His head was ever laid in that Bethlehem manger. And John, Jesus’ beloved disciple, gives us a fearfully awesome description of our risen, ascended, and reigning Lord, occupying His heavenly throne. It is this very Jesus whose birth we celebrate with humility, wonder, and awe.
