Where God's Justice & Love Meet
When we consider the characteristics of God Almighty--holy, sovereign, and good--we need to understand He's also and always, perfectly just. If we think of His mercy and forgiveness as being such that He merely overlooks sin, sweeps it under the rug, then we think wrongly of Him! If we think He lacks love and is too harsh and severe in His judgments against the sins of man, then again, we think wrongly of Him! But if we consider God Almighty as perfectly holy and just while maintaining the ultimate definition of what Love truly is, then we're beginning to think rightly of Him! And there's a place where God's justice and love meet. Just where might that be?
