We Have An Advocate With the Father

1 John 2:1 says: "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. (ESV) Jesus, as our Advocate, is One who stands before God representing us like a defense attorney. He defends our case before God Almighty, even as the Accuser of the Brethren (Satan) points to our sin. The Accuser says, "You are guilty!" Jesus says, "Not guilty!" "This one and that one have been justified by My blood!" Jesus intercedes on our behalf. He's also called our Mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says: "For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time." (AMP) So Jesus is our Advocate and Mediator and He's our Savior and Lord! Do you get the feeling He loves us?! Is there anything more awesome than that!
