Walking in the Truth

Walking in the Truth

The Word of God is the Voice of God--in writing! The voice of reason is not the the voice of God when it differs from His voice, His Word. You can reason yourself into disobedience. You can be reasoned out of your loyal allegiance to the One who loves you most. The Serpent reasoned with Eve, who in turn reasoned with Adam, and they ate the forbidden fruit which resulted in mankind's fall. Written to believers, 2 John 1:8-11 says: "Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works." (ESV) Beware of counterfeit gospels pedaled by cunning charlatans. They'll sweet talk you out of your soul. They may even tote Bibles and quote Scripture, just as Satan quoted Scripture to Jesus when tempting Him. Always be on your guard! Clutch the truth ever so tightly! Never let go!
