Twisted Scripture and False Gospels

Galatians 1:6-9 says: "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed." (ESV) When Scriptures are twisted or superseded with alleged extra-biblical revelations, the results are never good. They create false gospels and those lead straight to hell. Gospels that leave Jesus off the cross or leave Him in His tomb or leave Him off His throne are prime examples. Treating our Lord as a genie or promoting earthly goods over heavenly treasures or putting God in your debt follow closely behind. And any so-called gospel that elevates a human tongue over the written, inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God should likewise be rejected. False gospels are matters of eternal life and death and once identified, should be summarily rejected...
