CloseGod the Son made an epic journey to earth to redeem and restore fallen man to God. His first stop was Bethlehem. But even as a Babe in a manger, His destiny was a cross in Jerusalem. It would be there where He would die and rise again, before ascending to His glorious throne. Philippians 2:8-11 summarizes the redemptive journey that ran from throne to manger to cross, straight through a borrowed tomb, and right back to that celestial throne: "And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (ESV) The monumental question then is this: When it comes to Jesus, has your knees bowed and has your tongue confessed that He is your Savior and Lord?
