The CHOOSER and the Chosen

The CHOOSER and the Chosen

1 Corinthians 1:26-30 says: "Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (NIV) So now you realize you weren't chosen by God because you were filthy rich, drop dead gorgeous, or a brainiac genius. Not chosen because you were an artistic prodigy. Not chosen because of special lineage or royal blood. Spiritual poverty vs impressive pedigrees kindled God's mercy, stirred His love, and catalyzed His rescue! God chose and chooses the weak and lowly, the poor and needy, the untouchables and undesirables. Like Jacob, God chooses the spotted, speckled, and black sheep to grace His beloved flocks! The CHOOSER chose you! So finding yourself among the chosen, what will happen now?
