Something Big From Something Small

Jesus sees a very large crowd coming towards Him and He knows they're hungry. But are they hungry for spiritual food? A young boy gives Jesus his lunch, five little barley loaves and two small fish. With this generous offering, Jesus gives thanks for what He's been given and then feeds five thousand men plus women and children. The lessons here are endless. But many of the people are not satisfied. They follow Jesus and they want more miracle bread, like the manna of old. John 6:32-35 says: "Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the True Bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They said to Him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst."" (ESV) May a mustard seed of faith be granted to you that you might believe in Jesus, the True Bread that has come from Heaven. May the smallness of your life be placed into His large hands! May He become your Reason for Living, your Purpose in Life, your King of Hearts, your Pearl of Great Price, your All in All, your Savior and Lord! And if He's already those things to you, may He become those things more and more and more!
