Our Destiny is Jesus

Despite the outcome of elections and the names of those occupying governmental places of leadership and power, we must not forget that God is sovereign over the kings of the earth.  He is the One who raises them up and removes them.  No matter who wins an election, God and His Word do not change, Jesus remains seated upon His throne, our citizenship in heaven is totally secure, and our mandate as believers is absolutely unchanged.  Likewise we must take seriously the Scriptures which instruct to us to pray for all our leaders--good, bad, and otherwise--because either way, God deems such prayers as good and pleasing and not without effect.
