Like Father, Like Son--Praise God!

There are many Scriptures that describe Jesus' love for His Father: In John 4:34 Jesus says: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work." In John 5:19 Jesus says: “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise." In John 10:30 He says: "I and the Father are one.” There is no sweeter communion in all the universe than that of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--The Holy Trinity--God in Three Persons. Holy, Holy, Holy is His name! All the ways that Jesus the Son personally emulated and lovingly obeyed His Father are a testimony to us all. And how did the Father lovingly acknowledge His Son? Upon Jesus' Baptism, God declares audibly from above: “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:17) Again at Jesus' Transfiguration God thunders from above: “This is My Son, my Chosen One; listen to Him!” (Luke 9:35) And once more just before the cross, Jesus prays: "Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” (John 12:28) So know this, Jesus mission on behalf of the Father and the Father's heart in sending His Son was aimed at you! Jesus came to seek you out--not for rejection--but for adoption! He came to make you sons and daughters of the Most High God!
