Let the Is Have It!
Romans 12:9a says: "Let love be genuine..." The verses that follow support Paul's exhortation. For God's church in our day, how should we live out our deep devotion to the Lord when His chief expectation for us is to love one another? When things are immensely good vertically, how then should such things flesh-out horizontally? What does a family of believers look like that is invested, integrated, intense (fervent), intentional, inclusive, interceding (devoted to prayer), and increasing? And when the Good News is woven into the fabric of each of those terms, how much better yet! Whatever such a church looks when those qualities become realities, may we endeavor to look exactly the same--with God's grace helping us!
