Jesus Has Us!

Jesus Has Us!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says: "Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures..." (NIV) The gospel is unchanging and of first importance! How quickly things can change and that right before our eyes. Upheaval often doesn't announce its plans. And uncertainty seems more certain than it ever has. But nothing that may befall us can change this gospel, the Good News about Jesus Christ. And if you belong to Christ, nothing can change that either. Your future is likewise secure--sure and certain--come what may! Best of all, your eternity is secure! None of us are getting outta here alive and yet all of us in Christ Jesus will live forevermore. The bottom line is this: Jesus has us! Jesus has us and He isn't letting go! All glory to God for His tried and true faithfulness and for His peace that holds hands with it...
