Have You Made Room for Jesus?

Have You Made Room for Jesus?

Luke 2:6-7 says of Jesus' birth: "And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn Son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn." (ESV) God the Son, from eternity past, who spun galaxies off His fingertips and formulated DNA, becomes a Baby. And in this tiny village where the shepherd boy David ascended as Israel's greatest king, there's no place for a young mother in labor to give birth! A barn with a saliva-stained feeding trough became His bassinet. This wouldn't be the last time there'd be no room for Jesus. So the question is, have you made room for Christ in your own heart and life? Have you received or rejected this One who came to rescue you from sin and death? Therefore hear this all you spiritual orphans: God has made room for you even if you've not yet made room for Him! John 14:1-3 affirms: "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also." (ESV) One Day we'll all be Home for Christmas!
