God is Not Slow as Some Count Slowness

God is Not Slow as Some Count Slowness

In the midst of terrible calamities, terrorism, and wars, many ask, "Where is God?" Some ask mockingly as they don't believe He exists. Others believe He possibly exists but now takes a hands-off approach towards His creation. Others believe in God but they think He is too slow. And if He's slow or late, they wonder if He's weak, apathetic, or cruel. Perhaps you think this. Is He slow about answering your prayers because He's incapable or because He knows better? Should God adjust to our anemic ways of thinking or should we adjust to His? Who is the Potter and who is the clay in all these scenarios? Like Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3:9, 'God is not slow as some count slowness.' Romans 5:6 says: "When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners." (NLT) Galatians 4:4-5 voices similarly: "But when the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent Him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as His very own children." (NLT) He was certainly punctual where it mattered most! How can He be right on time and still be called late? Truth is, God is never late! So is God slow or is He worth waiting for? Answer: He is always worth the wait!
