Drill Down to Jesus

Hebrews 1:1-4 says: "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs." (ESV) So how during the Christmas season do we become a thorn in the side of the world, our flesh, and the devil? Drill down to Jesus! Let the lion's share of your celebrating be towards the Lion of Judah! You needn't be obnoxious. You needn't be preachy. You can do it without a soapbox or megaphone. Just put Jesus front and center, first and foremost. Choose to exalt Him above all else and all others. You can do this quietly or boldly, with whispers or with songs or with prayers, with decorative displays or written sentiments. Jesus, after all, is Emmanuel--God with us! He's the Gift! He's the Star! He's the Reason! He's the Savior! Let's celebrate HIS birth. Let's make it all about HIM!
