The One who rules and orchestrates all that takes place in the Kingdom of Heaven has promised to care and provide for us in the here and now! And therefore, Jesus concludes, worrying over the everyday cares of our lives is not necessary.

Our planning can be driven by wisdom or it can be driven by worry. Saving for tomorrow and prepping for a crisis can be rooted in complete trust in the Lord and such prudence is laudable. But we can also be motivated by our lack of trust in the Lord.
