Sinners did not welcome Jesus because He became “one of them.” They welcomed Him as a Great Physician who had a cure for their disease of sin; He was THE Remedy. He spoke the truth in love. Without approving of their sin, He met them with mercy and acceptance.

Is there hope for us former slaves of sin who were once bound for death? Romans 7:24-25 is more than hopeful when it says: “What a wretched man I am!
