Summary

1 Peter 1:8-9 says: “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him. Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (ESV) Concerning this salvation; concerning this Gospel of Grace; concerning this undeserved mercy and love from God that came to us as a result of Jesus Christ–God the Son–taking our sin upon Himself and absorbing our justly earned punishment–it’s so glorious, so amazing and mystifying that angels are left confounded, baffled, and thoroughly perplexed. Despite our God being the Maker of all things seen and unseen, there’s nothing more stunning in all the universe than what God has done to make us right with Himself, even making us His children, and granting us everlasting life!
